Email a comment about the song (we'd love to hear from you) Since Richard Klender wrote "Dear Mr. Jesus" he has learned quite a bit about the devastation of child abuse. In fact, it has become a big part of his life and his artistry. He reflects, "For me, this album has been a labor of love that began over 3 years ago. I know that sounds like a long time to produce an album but when you truly approach it as an art form instead of just a product, all things change. I think at that point the focus regarding excellence is approached much differently and therefore can take three times as long as it might have. Working nearly every day on it for so long brought me into a deep relationship with each song. Every note from every instrument has a specific purpose and I was blessed to work with some of the finest studio musicians in our nation. To make a long story short, I'm excited to bring you 15 new songs designed to lift up hurting people and offer some true healing from old hurts. I hope you'll sample some of the songs and check it out and ultimately it will mean a great deal to us all if you are blessed by this album."
